I obtained an undergraduate and Honours degree in Psychology at the University of South Africa. I spent a year doing trauma counselling and I worked for two years as a behavioural therapist. In 2015 I completed the occasional genetic counselling courses via the University of Cape Town.
I am currently a 2nd year Masters student, registered for the MSc (Med) Genetic Counselling degree. My research is titled “Young adults’ perceptions of the implications of their hereditary visual impairment: A Cape Town based study”, and has been supervised by Prof Jacquie Greenberg, Cordelia Leisegang and Gill Dusterwald.
Much of my spare time is spent on the dance floor, where I pursue my passion for ballroom and Latin dancing.
